Bathroom Sales & Design Consultant

Responsibilities and Duties...

Are you able to build a rapport with your clients and gain their trust? Are you comfortable discussing their needs and taking inspiration from them and able to create stunning designs using CAD?

You should be familiar with Microsoft office using word and excel and to prepare fully specified quotations and then confidently presenting and explaining the entire project to them in detail. Consultations can take place either in the showroom or online using Zoom.

You will need to be adept at internal and external communications, both verbal and written. Personal presentation and excellent telephone manner are essential.

You must be comfortable communicating with a wide range of clients at all levels including high-end clients. If that sounds like you we can offer you;

• A basic starting salary of £35-40k plus generous Bonus Scheme / incentives £70k OTE
• 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
• Monday - Saturdays with a day off in lieu

Qualifications and Skills

You will need a minimum of 3 years' experience designing and selling bathrooms using CAD and a good knowledge of bathroom products and the associated industry. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential as well as the ability to follow and help improve existing and new systems and procedures. Ultimately, you must ensure that every client receives the highest level of customer care and enjoys their experience with the company.

What we need from you…

Do you fit the approved Installer criteria? In order to be an approved Installer, you will need to have the following...

Public Liability Insurance (£2m)

1. Certificate of insurance, public liability (electronic or PDF copy is fine)

2. Policy schedule – terms and conditions (any endorsements) information required on the above documents.

• Individual/business name matching proforma and set-up form (to include trading name and address)
• Policy number & expiry date
• Must state public liability & state no less than £2m cover
• Must state business activity relevant to your trade
• Please ensure no exclusions related to your trade i.e. working at height/ heat/water/restrictions

A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check The business owner must complete a basic disclosure. It costs £23 to register and you must provide a copy of the certificate (online / electronic certificates are fine). Partnerships and ltd companies: everyone registered on company’s house must supply a basic DBS. It must include all pages and be dated within the last 2 years. We will request an updated one on the anniversary of the two years.

Proven experience of fitting bathrooms Provide 5 high resolution pictures of your best recent works and customer references.

Access to laptop, PC, tablet, or smart phone with email address This is to receive documents and access the installer invoicing portal.

A VAT registration number (if registered) VAT Registration Number Only, can be TYPED on the set-up form or any document with this on.

Bank details for direct BACS payments A bank statement must be provided showing the same name and address of the individual or business that has applied. It must have bank account / sort code and must include the bank name. Please feel free to blank out any transactions/balances.

How does it work?

One of our showroom advisors will create a bathroom or kitchen design for the client.

Once the final design is complete, the client is provided with a fixed price for the whole project including all parts and full installation.

Once the client has confirmed that they wish to proceed and paid their deposit the installation is booked and a survey arranged for you to visit the customer.

The installation will be monitored at various stages throughout the installation by our technical installation manager who will be on hand to answer any technical questions you may have.

The installation will be inspected again on completion and once signed off payment is usually made the same day and sent to you via bank transfer. Yes, it’s really as simple as that!
