Cornwall Grove, W4
This beautifully updated bathroom is designed to bring a fresh and playful feel to a compact space without compromising on practicality. With clever use of lighting, colour and layout, the new scheme enhances both the functionality and aesthetic of the room, creating a calming yet characterful retreat for everyday use.
The details...
The layout includes a modern bathtub with a built-in shower and clear screen, a sleek wall-hung vanity unit and a concealed cistern toilet. A recessed shower niche offers discreet storage for toiletries, subtly illuminated to maintain a clutter-free environment. The under-bath LED lighting and the backlit mirror above the basin provide soft ambient lighting, perfect for creating a spa-like feel in the evening.
Practicality is at the core of this design, with a large window allowing natural light to brighten the room by day, while the frosted glass ensures privacy. The floating vanity helps maximise the sense of floor space and keeps cleaning simple, and black hardware throughout ties the scheme together with a bold, modern touch.
Style
Visually, the bathroom is a blend of soft tones and tactile finishes. Pastel-coloured vertical tiles wrap around the space in a randomised pattern, bringing in playful hints of pink, lilac, cream and blue. These gently iridescent tiles contrast beautifully with the matte blue painted walls above, adding depth and softness. The result is a bathroom that feels modern yet inviting, with just the right balance of fun and function.
a word from our designer...
“Designing this bathroom was all about striking the right balance between personality and practicality. We wanted to create a space that felt playful and uplifting without losing sight of how it’s used every day. By layering soft tones with tactile finishes and incorporating clever lighting throughout, we’ve brought a real sense of calm and character to a compact room. It’s a space that feels fun and considered in equal measure.”
